Started:
I started brewing on a small scale in 2015 with a 30L Netthandelen-purchased brewing kit. My first attempt was an extract brew, followed by a few all-grain kits. The results were decent, but I stopped brewing for a few years. In 2020, I met Kenneth (from “Shit Happens”), who inspired me to start brewing again. Initially, I used his G30 setup before eventually buying a second-hand system of my own.
I now brew on a Grainfather G40 (purchased in 2021/22) and am very satisfied with it, even though it’s a bit small when brewing 50-60L batches. With top-up function in BrewFather, it works just fine. I also occasionally brew on the G30 and Speidel 50 systems with Kenneth (“Shit Happens”), my brewing partner.
I’ve also brewed a few times at North Brew in Nittedal, including once on their new 1000L system. I’m planning more sessions there this spring.
As a gadget enthusiast, I’ve recently invested heavily in Kegland’s full RAPT series. I’ve fully transitioned to using cans and kegs.
I prefer brewing light and “easy” beers and enjoy experimenting with competitions.
The heart of my brewing operation, the Grainfather G40, is a powerhouse. With its 40-liter capacity, precise temperature control, and efficient recirculation pump, it transforms the all-grain brewing process into a seamless and enjoyable endeavor.
Ensuring consistent water temperature during the sparging process is a game-changer. My Grainfather 40L Spargewater Heater does just that, allowing for optimal sugar extraction from the grains.
For a professional touch to my homebrews, I turn to the Cannular. This benchtop can seamer brings the convenience of canning to my setup, preserving the freshness of my beer and providing a portable packaging solution.
The Cannular Can and Bottle Filler is perfect for cans and bottles, featuring oxygen purging, precise filling, adjustable height, an OLED display, integrated regulator, and RAPT.io connectivity.
Kegging beer has never been smoother, thanks to the Tapcooler. This counter-pressure bottle filler attaches directly to the tap, allowing me to fill bottles while preserving carbonation and minimizing foaming.
